Humanism encourages us all to make the most of the one life we know we have 

 to be good to ourselves and to care for others.

As humanists, we do best to live an ethical life, to respect science and base our actions on reason, evidence and compassion.

We value all human beings equally.

Humanists tend to advocate for human rights, free speech, progressive policies, and democracy. Starting in the 20th century, some humanist movements are non-religious and aligned with secularism.

Humanists stand for the building of a more humane, just, compassionate, and democratic society using a pragmatic ethics based on human reason, experience, and reliable knowledge-an ethics that judges the consequences of human actions by the well-being of all life on Earth

Humanists reject all forms of racism and prejudice, and believe in respecting and protecting everyone's human rights, including the right to freedom of religion
